I stayed in brisbane twice...great town...nothing beats swimmin next to the shark nets

If you like that, you'd love going to the Everglades! My first time in Miami, I went to the Glades to spot alligators.

I went to the one of the National Parks (not the farms), rented a single-speed beach cruiser, *signed a waiver*, and took the seven-mile path (by about 6' wide) through the everglades. Plenty of photo op's!

I'm headed there again first week of May...who wants my basses? :D

I'll just keep the Bongo you have on order, then?

Having grown up on the Gulf Coast in the deep south, I much prefer hanging around in the water with sharks to hanging around in the water with gators.

Nearly everyone I knew growing up had lost at least a dog....or, well, parts of a dog.

I grew up in Miami, and we lived a couple of blocks from a canal. We only had a few stray alligators walking around. There was one larger canal down the street with a tall tree and a swinging rope and a huge alligator that hung around (waiting for a kid to fall off the rope?)

There would actually be people caught fishing for gators with small puppies or kittens.

Shark Valley in the Everglades - is that the trail you went for the ride on? I remember going on fieldtrips there in school.

i found out on wed that i have a new job and i am moving to bris vegas (brisbane) so now i am trying to find a cheap place to rent minus any sociopathic flatmates. urrgh HEADACHE!

all of the ads blur into one and it hurts to think.

The new job does not offset the flat hunt headache? Must be a boring job;)

no its a good job, just a scary one that i hope i can do

its a traineeship in anatomical pathology assistance

only found out at interveiw stage that i would be working directly with organs, amputated limbs and also working in the morgue.

up until then it was mostly a cushy government admin job with a bit of pipette and blood work chucked in for a challenge.

now im freaking out.

but they liked me so i hope its ok. they are all SUPER brainy scientists.

How could anyone possibly NOT like you:confused:

Anyway, the new job sounds real cool! I love CSI, FBI Files and all that, and now I have an imaginary friend who goes "Well, we can see from the way the edges around the entry wound look that it was in fact inflicted AFTER the death.":D
