Me thinks the JP is getting back to the Ibanez-style....

Just look at those cutaways and the new scoop. It could be a guitar from the RG Series.

I like the old one :)

Hey Bierschinken,

Did you mean the old one (EBMM v1) or the old, old one (Ibz)? ;)

I owned two of the old, old ones and thought they were about as good as an Ibanez could get (and that's pretty darn good, IMHO). I mean, they weren't EBMMs or anything, but I thought they were a very well-thought-out design and showed obvious involvement from JP himself--comparable to the JEMs (another "classic" Ibanez, IMHO) but different enough from JEMs and RGs to be a legitimate model unto itself (not like the silly "Slipknot" version that's out now--"Ooh, look! A reverse headstock and inlays that help me count up to my IQ . . ." :p ).

I personally like the more cutty-away cutaways and I really dig the bound fretboard. If it happens to be basswood under that maple top, then it is constructed very much like one of my very favorite guitars--the EBMM Axis--and I'm even more excited to know more. Someone spill the beans, please!!!:D

Perhaps they'll release it like they did the Y2d, where you're still be able to the original or the new version, and then we can both be happy about the "Petrucci model!"

:)

I purchased one not that long ago, why are they out of production?

Most definitely not out of prod...

Great pedal.

And why would he use pedals? Textures. Keeley extensively mods those Boss pedals. They generally don't sound like a run of the mill Boss pedal anymore. From what I understand the road rig is in there somewhere. Realize a small snapshot of some gear mostlikely isn't the only things that he's utilizing...
