Been saving for this one for a while now.. Finally cashed out and got the guitar of my dreams. Playability is insane, looks gorgeous too. I was looking online at the Koa ones and couldn't get over how awesome they looked...so I went to a Guitar Center in my area that had one listed in stock. I was shocked to see that it had Chrome hardware... but from what I've read GC has some type of exclusive koa version with chrome and a different burst (can anyone confirm?). Anyways, here it is... a lot of sun so it's much darker typically but you get the idea.

Everyone is getting Koa's! It looks beautiful! My Koa 7 came in on the 23rd.
GC Had the Island Burst (Which is now standard on all Koa), and yes the chrome hardware.
The gold personally, but still looks fantastic!

Just got one myself! Posted pics on the official pics page. Put cobalt 10s on it yesterday. Sounded amazing with the settings I was already using on the magnetic side (tube amp). Piezo side throug an acoustic amp required a bit of tweaking. Congratulations!

I was actually pretty stoked to get it with chrome as I really don't like gold hardware, so it was win-win for me... now I want the 7 string version though, heh

I just finished taking some photos outside of the 7, and it sort of looks like the Cherry Burst (in photos), but with gold hardware.
Looking more at yours, if I didn't know the top was Koa, I would have guessed you got a Cherry Burst. :p
Inside when the Koa is nice and dark they look spectacular.

Agreed, the sunlight makes this thing look nuclear comparatively speaking, I need to steal my roommate's Nikon tomorrow and get some nice indoor shots.

Congratulations on an awesome guitar! :)
And I have to agree, that does look more like Cherry Burst than Island Burst. Perhaps they're just that similar.

Tanax; It's just the lighting issues. The Koa and Mahogany really pop if there's a flash on the camera or in the natural light.
Some of the pictures I uploaded in my thread you can see how it's darker with room lighting, or more Koa like in the video I posted.

Interesting story about getting mine, I was going to get a guitar for my 20th Anniversary. Plan was for an acoustic, budgt of $1500, as I was really happy with my G****n SG. So I started shopping about 6mos ago. Couldnt find anything, and budget kept creeping up, at 2k, still not blown away over my simple Yam**a FG401... So my wife suggested i just get the Lester I had been wanting instead. Went to GC, played a real nice flamed top, then a EBMM reflex, was blown away by the reflex! Asked about the strange looking purple guitar on the wall, (JP6 Mystic Dream). Got that one of the wall and I was hooked! Decided without a doubt, that was it. Then when my wife saw the Koa online, she said "go for that one!" A week later I had it at home! Got her the EBMM Sterling Bass from a friend at the pawn shop a couple days later, then traded of the SG for an upgrade on my Amp. Very Happy!

Holy Balls!

Never seen that one. Second most Beautiful Koa I've seen behind the one off Island Burst one that makes the rounds on here.

Awesome find, truly. I hope you hold on to the treasure for good.

Looking at mine at this exact second! ... It's Just the Koa top on the Mahogany, there's no Rosewood at all on it.
Yes Bulbs! He got the Rosewood veneer, cause well he's Bulb and Music-Man makes him what he wants.
