I just received my new JP Majesty in Enchanted Forest from Sweetwater. Sweetwater employs their own 55-point inspection.

The black metal plate that covers the bridge saddles on my guitar is hanging somewhat loose. It appears to be connected somehow near where the tremolo arm goes, but on the other side, it just dangles loose and can be rotated over the maple below the bridge. Is this normal? I feel like this should be attached and not able to spin out and scratch the wood. Was this damaged during transit, or does it require some setup on my part?

Thanks for your help.

I found a small screw in the case that is likely supposed to secure this other side of the bridge cover. I suppose I need to get in there and reconnect it somehow?

That's a bummer on a new guitar, did you complain to Sweetwater?

Sure remove the rear plate. I don't own a JP but you should be able to see an access hole.

Good luck, Glenn |B)

Sounds like they need a 56 point inspection

Thanks for the help, everyone. I got the bridge out safely and was able to firmly screw in the bridge cover - the screw that was still attached was quite loose. I got it back together with a new set of slinkies and it's sounding great!

Great to hear Jeremy, sorry for the inconvenience.
