OK! I know we need to close this thread, but i just wanted to get something in here before it does...
The way i see it if has EBMM of the headstock and JP had something to do with it, the guitar ROCKS!!!
Now it might be a little shocking at first , but like JP said try it first...Thats what i'm going to do when it comes out...cant wait.
Also WOW!!! is all got to say that JP on the forum...great job EBMM and BP....You guys are the best!

I dont really know what is so touchy about saying "I dont like this" to be honest... I thought we could give some insight on what we like or what we dont etc... its a discussion forum... we can share ideas and live peacefully, I really dont see what is the problem with "I dont like the horns." or "I prefered the older model"... You cant expect everyone to like the model, its just not going to happen.
I do understand from BP's perspective that is a piece of art (and I agree, its gorgeous) and its something personal. And I think most of us, see it as a product, nothing else.
Empathy is the key word, either looking from BP's perspective or anyone who disagrees or agrees on the new model.
I think we all apriciate BP for posting the proto, we all know we cant change the model as its JP's model, and its not like we are going to go kill BP while he is asleep (well I might... ).
Everyone chill out and take other comments as just that, comments and opinions.
My idea of a forum is an open minded place where everyone can SHARE their views and perspectives either agreeing or disagreeing, but thats just me.

Im locking this down now... I cant win....when we posted JPs guitar it was not a solicitation for input, it was titled "New jp Proto really close" it was to show you guys what jp wants. The people who feel that it is a god given right to basically hijack this thread with opinions good and bad have missed the point. Picture posting a picture of your newborn...."shes beautiful,,,or He has big ears and I dont like the babies cheeks.....
I really cant understand this.....THis is why Paul Reed Smith shut his forum down...(he warned me by the way). People who dont like the guitar are telling me how I should have designed a better neck joint and how I can just lop off the bottom horn and it goes on and on. Gues what ? We did! both of those things!
If anyone defends the guitar they are asskissers and for the most part people attacking it lack manners. Period. Robelinda is now jumping on the bandwagon saying he thought it was a forum..... its 17 pages of opinions! What is not forumlike about that?
Im now responding to critism with corporate speak like < "thanks for your input" because that is the safest way to answer. Im not sure that this is what you want from me or the forum but it is where it is headed.
