New JP12 - a huge thanks to JP & EB/MM!

Mr. Petrucci and EB/MM once again outdid themselves as a new JP12 showed up on my porch yesterday morning. It's absolutely stunning. I'm a HUGE fan of stainless steel frets and this wood combination and John knew that, so this guitar is just perfect. I was chatting with John on the phone yesterday about the guitar and honestly, he's just as excited about his guitars now as when he first came to EB/MM. It was as if he had just gotten a new guitar, ha. My bigtime thanks go out to JP & EB/MM for their thoughtfulness and generosity! The guitar played so perfectly out of the box and the action is just ridiculous. It's also really resonant with amazing sustain. I'll have to add more thoughts on it as I get a chance to jam on it more and more. Here are some iPhone pics I took which captured the color quite well.

YES, offer it on a HH!!!!!

While I like this, no LOVE this color, I am sure in some circumstances it will look black. Just as the Luke III, I've had an olive gold JP, and often times it looks...brown.
