I hate to start these rumor threads but... if there is going to be a new limited edition Luke. Id rather order that rather than a regular production model. Anyone got any thoughts

we are always working with our artists...some things see the light of day and some just stay in a rack with a bunch of other experiments.

Luke has two tone block maple top protos being made lets see how he likes them and we will keep you posted.

Medically, I don't know if you can handle that.
I think it's for your own good that you don't see pics of this. :p ;)

I would assume that a maple top on a Luke would add an edge it doesn't have as an all alder axe...not everyone may like this....

Don't Ya think:confused:

Potentially yes you're right. But have faith ;)

The tone blocks BP mentioned in his post are (i'm assuming) the mahogany tone block used in the 20th anniversary silos. This should offset any edge brought on by the maple top and hopefull add some extra punch. Only those who've tried out a 20th silo can really say tho. Sadly I'm not a member of that club.

This Luke is gonna rip!

Plus there is no point in developing a new guitar that sounds exactly like the old one... I'm sure that if Luke and BP like it, it will be an awesome instrument

I would think that Luke would Love a Maple/Mahogany Combo.
Back in the day, 1985-1992(?) He used VA Guitars that were
Maple Top /Mahogany Middle /Maple Back with an Ebony Fret Board on a Maple Neck.
His other main guitar, the VA "Robot", was a Mahogany Body/Maple Neck/Ebony Fretboard
I really hope a Maple Mahogany Luke sees the light of day!!!!:D

Me, too.

I prefer the sound of the Robot to that of the Luke, but I recognize that a lot of that could be because of his amp and/or effects.
