What does 'grain filled mahogany' mean? Is it really just a trans-black burst mahogany? Or is the grain actually filled with something?

If EBMM is doing it like another firm I know of (the other company calls their version "dog hair") then it is white pore filler with a translucent black finish over it.

It has a nice look to it. I am used to seeing other guitar companies do this with swamp ash. I like seeing the wood grain through the finish.

yep. The 'dog hair' finish has been around for some time.... I like it!

Where did you read this has stainless frets? Also wondering if the neck binding makes the neck a little wider..? Love my Starry Night! If I could change anything- would be larger stainless frets and the neck a wee bit wider so the high e didn't slide off the edge quite as easily- but nothing of a deal breaker on mine for sure- just being picky
