New Majesty 8

Got my first majesty. Killer guitar but had a question about the toggle and 8th string as I have never had a majesty just the jps. Does the pickup selector make a pop normally when playing high gain? More like the sound of changing amp channels with a bad switch if you know what I mean. Not super loud but not silent like my JP15. Also, the 8th string piezo is much quieter than the other strings. Normal for such a low note? Anyone that has an 8 know? Thanks in advance.

Welcome to the forum! I would not expect the switch to make much noise with high gain, if anything it should be no louder than or quieter than, other guitars. Call Music Man customer service and ask their advice.

Thanks for the reply! I did and they agreed but as we live in a world now where buying guitars is sight unseen and YouTube demos are highly produced, I figured if there where any quirks considered normal this is the place to find them.

Also, the piezo volume should be balanced from string to string. Make a recording on a clean amp setting (and consistent pick attack of course ) and send it to EBMM support and see what they say!
