Hi All,

I just ordered my first EBMM last night. It's a Luke III BFR in Black Burst. Pics below are my guitar taken by SW.

I've been a huge EVH fan all my life and have owned Peavey Wolfgangs and an EVH Wolfgang (still have it). I always wanted an early EVH EBMM but I've never even picked up a Music Man guitar... until yesterday. I was at my local GC to get strings and came across a NOS Luke III rosewood neck model. I had to try it much to my wife's dismay after the fact. I fell in love instantly with the neck. The shape, feel and everything about it was perfect. I played for about thirty minutes and really wanted it but we couldn't come to an agreement on price (I wasn't paying full price for a guitar that's been hanging on their wall for three years). I hopped on the interwebs and checked the Guitar Gallery at SW. The Black Burst BFR with the roasted maple neck was it. I'm glad I couldn't make a deal at GC because my rep at SW made me a great deal on this one. Ordered last night and am now counting the minutes until it arrives at my door. Until then I'm drooling over the pics to keep me going.

I wasn't considering a black burst either dibart77 until I saw this one.

That's quite the collection ozzyrules (I'm jealous). I already have to sell a couple of Strats and a bass to pay for this one but I don't think I'll miss them. I don't think I can part with the Wolfgang and the Les Paul (and my 5150 Kramer isn't going anywhere) but you never know.

Tomorrow can't come fast enough!

Thanks Fellas! I got it all dialed in last night and it plays wonderful. It'll get a full workout at practice tonight. I think it's a keeper.

Yup... it's a keeper. Played my L3 at practice last night for about 3 hours and it was awesome. Even the guys in the band commented on how good it sounded. My bass player tried it out and said it's the nicest guitar he's ever played. 3 hours of playing with whammy usage and didn't go out of tune once. Amazing. Anyone wanna buy a couple of Strats?
