New Member- SUB Bass

Hello I am new to this Forum & EBMM Basses. Today 17/04/10 I bought a secondhand Musicman SUB for only £99.99 aprox $153, This is cheaper than a Jim Deacon/SX or a Squier Affinity P bass new.This is also my first Stingray bass I still can not get over owning an American classic like this for so little cash.

The Serial Number is X 01229 is there anyway of finding out when my bass was made, & what are the functions of the three pots thank you.

It is a great bass,though a bit heavy but what a good sound from my Ampeg BA115 combo. This bass is definatly a keeper, I may even look out for a replacement scratchplate.

Even now the following day, I still have a big grin on my face. I think the scratchplate will be getting changed,would you think that a mirror style would look good.

Thanks just spent part of tonight cleaning it up. It really is a well made bass,does anyone know what the Red colour is called as there is a small bit missing & I would like to get a touch up paint pen and see if I could blend it in.

Looked at the black ones,but I like the idea of a mirror pg to compliment the control panel & bridge. But saying that Strings & Things here in the UK have, the EBMM original triple ply white & black pg's cheaper than the mirror copy which may not fit properly. My SUB is red so I may end up with the EBMM White pg.
