Hello, I am new here but been playing musicman since 93. My first one was a trans red alder body stingray4 with birds eye neck. later on i got interested in the other brands but something was just not right.i could not get the right tone , i tried the high dollar stuff like la----d and sa-----y anyway ive come full circle to the tone i keep hearing in my head. I ordered and recieved my SR5 trans gold hs,rosewood board and just ordered a dd2 SR5 h piezo. as you all know musicman instruments quality is far superior than anything on the market.Thank you big poppa and musicman for giving me the best of the best ....... pics soon

THANKS for the warm welcome guys. bongo 5 is next. i want the lava color .anyway i was looking for the best strings to use for my sr5 before it got here.i was wanting the best tension for the b string ,i spent way over 200 dollars on different strings and ill tell you the best ones i found is the ones that come on them.imagine that. ERNIE BALL MUSICMAN THE BEST.......

Welcome ! the SR5 is a great bass and everyone should have at least 1 or 2 of them Check out my avatar,I have a fretted and fretless and I just put EB flatwounds on the fretted bass, talk about sweet. We are talking funk to the max ! But my Lava pearl BONGO 5HH ....WOW ! Incredible ONE OF A KIND,NOTHING LIKE IT bass

I cant wait , i saw brad paisleys concert and his bassist plays mm . he used an sr5hp boy did it sound sweet.: having a problem with my camera .will get pics of the trans gold 5 soon....
