There was a funny moment during the recording: Peta (the guitar player) asked the sound engineer, to start from a "special" part again:

- start it from the LEAD part please
- Okay, but the whole song is a Lead part!

and we rolled on the floor

Very good work. Nice ballzy bass tone there.

I don't mind the 6 minute guitar solo because the guy is a great player. I'm not really into this sort of instrumental rock, typically (I'm more of a soul/funk/R&B/Acid Jazz type), but this is good stuff and I enjoyed it.

It's a funny thing for me with the Big Al basses... I think the 4 string version is just a bit too "George Jetson" looking for me, BUT I actually really like the looks of the 5 string Big Al. Not sure why that is. Of course, they both sound great and with all those pickup switching options, it's super versatile. And I LOVE those sparkle finishes. I've been lusting after the green and red sparkle for awhile now. Best finishes out there, for my tastes anyway.
