:D

just picked up one of these yesterday
blackbox_v2008.jpg
and have been dying to screw around with it so I did just that this evening in GarageBand

the bass is the bridge pickup of the Big B 5 and the SVT patch with a little extra drive and picked, not fingers.

the scariest part is that the geeetars are me too (as if that wasn't painfully obvious) :p

ahhh, the skinny stringers, such weird planks they are.

anywho, the track is called R3L0AD3D over at my MySpace

I like it alot!

I've always been a fan of ambient stuff, usually to the great amusement of my musical friends. :/

and as a bassist, I must say: you sound much better than I on guitar.

The drumbeat had me grooving.

Thanks guys!

yep, Randy, I was a bit shocked after listening to it once it had bounced to iTunes... I think my AKG cans are shot  didn't sound anywhere near as good while making it.

the drums were fun too... that's the next stage of development for me I hope, that loop was just one of the GarageBand loops but I'm working on programming decent grooves a bit more.

...and thanks Fly...... :D

Have you had a chance to check out EZdrummer? That's what I've been using recently and I'm really digging it. They sampled real drums played by real studio drummers, so it sounds much better than the GarageBand stuff. You can control how hard the drums are hit, combine different drum kits and control how the drums react to the room. The variety of styles and time sigs is also pretty vast. I haven't spent much time with the programming aspects, but it's pretty cool.
