I think the progression was as follows:

1986 - circa 1991/1992: Schaller bridge

circa 1991/1992 - circa 1997: Gotoh Floyd Rose

circa 1997 - present: EBMM Vintage Bridge

This is as close as I can remember; it is possible that Schaller discontinued the that bridge prior to 1991/1992.

Basically the Gotoh Floyd Rose came in after the EVH Signature was released (and EBMM changed to the 5-bolt necks and oil/wax finish at the same time); then the EBMM Vintage Trem came in around 1997.

Good stuff. Thanks again!

While were geeking.Heres a couple of small changes I noticed. My ex Nov 89 trem and current May 90 hardtail are both swimmming pool routed. During these six months the serial number moved from the back of the headstock to the neck plate. The neckplate changed from plain countersunk to surface mounted with the EBMM logo. The mid 80s early bridges were a different design. When did they become 5 bolts and how may 6 bolts were made? They only make up about 1% of the forum guitars. The ash is rare.A run of 40 were made with 20 coming to the UK. Last bit of geek info, the machineheads are pre Berlin wall,so are marked "Made in W.Germay".
