I picked up the new rig that I'll be playing my JP6 through when it comes in - a Mesa/Boogie Roadking 2x12 Combo. I had the chance to really crank it up today with my friend's Blue Dawn JP6 and damn! This thing sounds absolutely amazing. The cleans are so sparkly and pristine, and the orange and red channels just absolutely kill. They have a ton of gain, so much as to where I had to roll the gain back today while jamming . I'm still in pure shock that I own this. I've wanted a Roadking and a JP6 for so long and now I finally have my dream setup. This really is the perfect match for the JP6 (other than the Mark IV that is) and now I know why JP used Roadkings. Here are a few pics of the new beast.

you must have never heard of a little thing called the MII C+ have you:p

The Mark IIC+ is supposedly the holy grail of Mesa's. I have yet to play one but from what everyone else that has played them or owned them says, they are amazing. A Mark IV can get very close to the C+ sound anyway. One day I'll own another Mark IV to go along with my Roadking :D. That'll be the day.

That's nice man, I hope you work out, them combos are frikin heavy...............:D

I'm very weak, and defintely have a hard time carrying it, but I'll just have to start pumping the iron. I think I read on the Mesa site that this combo weighs like 95 lbs. or something to that effect. I guess the weight adds to how chunky it sounds ;).

I am of the opinion that a guitar's sound is 60% amp. I know many disagree but, I really believe that.

I hope you have a wonderful time playing on that amazing amp with an amazing guitar.

You should defintely get both. LOL. EB's and Mesa's just kinda go hand in hand. Every time I've played a Ball through a Mesa, there wasn't once where I disliked the sound.

Believe it or not, the Roadking is very simple and intuitive to use. Each channel is set up the same as well as the back of the amp with the "channel strips" that let you change the tube options and everything. Its just about as easy to use as a regular Dual Rectifier for the most part.
