That's a very nice amp indeed. I wanted a Road King, mostly because of Petrucci's tone through them...but it was too rich for my blood, and I got the very similar, cheaper Roadster, and I absolutely love it with my JP7!

I was contemplating the Roadster, but to my ears it sounded totally different than the Roadking. Not to mention, I got the Roadking cheaper than what a new Roadster goes for. I also wanted something portable which is why I opted for the combo (even though its a beast to lug around), its easier to carry than a head and a 4x12 all the time.

i want to figure out how that effects loop works on the road king hahaha

I have no clue. Haha. I haven't even tried messing with it yet. I'm still thumbing through the first couple pages of the manual (which is like a short novel lol). I always read the manual for an amp before messing with stuff like that. Its cool that the Roadking has 2 effects loops though. My old Mark IV had that and it was definitely a convenient feature.

That is actually a nice roadking though. I mean with the power a mesa puts out, you don't really need a Mesa Halfstack.( Unless you are on the road and need multi-cabinets). Great buy. ;)
