I saved forever and sold off my old rig (and the rest of my non-ebmm basses) for this one: GK 700RB-II, Neo 210, Neo 115. I also had enough to get a Hercules stand and a white pickguard for the Bongo, thanks to The Perfect Bass. I start playing in church next Sunday, and this will be my church rig. I'm really excited to be playing in church for the first time in years. I'm so glad I went with neodymium cabs - just 40 pounds each. That puts the whole rig under 100 pounds! The white guard just pops. New Rig Day is the only thing almost as exciting as New Bass Day:D

Overall, it compliments the tone of the Bongo superbly, fills the room, and doesn't hurt my back to move. And the new pickguard changes the Bongo's mood too

That is definitely one sexy 6! The new pickguard really makes the bass pop and standout too. I was using my Music Man basses for our praise and worship team too but our church closed down last year. :(

Where did you get the Pearl Blue Bongo at?

I got it at The Perfect Bass last year. I live in Louisiana, so I make trips down to Baton Rouge quite often (or at least make some excuse to go to Baton Rouge and The Perfect Bass). It's like EBMM heaven there!

Yep...that's the Bongo that got me addicted and caused me to buy mine. There was only one thing that I found wrong with your Bongo...It had a high C. ;)

Hey now I use that high C like all the time... ok well maybe once a gig haha.

That's more than I use it! :D

I don't mind a 6er, I just can't have one as my main bass. I am way more comfortable with a 5er and 93.7% of the stuff I do is fine on a 5er.
