This question is addressed directly to the Sterling Ball factory!

I'm an electronic freak and bass player for over a 20 years from now, and during that pretty long time period I developed in my head, well, I could say a revolutionary pickup concept for electric basses, but maybe could be applied for guitars too!

I'm thinking to make my idea legal through some of world patent institutions, so I could have ownership over it!

After that first step I would be glad to offer my patent to the world famous producers of basses and still considering about guitars, 'cause I'm not a guitar player, so I'm not sure that guitarists will be interested in that invention!

At the first place, of course, I would offer that idea to the EBMM factory!

It's nothing mystical, no fancy electronics in that invention, just simple improvement of actual pickups on the market, but it's considering of it's flexibility and positioning ...etc. Don't want to tell You about details right now!

With this feature there will be no need any more to built in so many pickups and switches, but every bass player will be able to find it's own sound character of bass! Also it could be possible to built that "thing" in every actual Music Man bass, or any other bass!

Waiting for Your reply and possible interest!

With regards, keko! :)

That was my first option in the past, but Gibson already developed that mechanical concept long ago!

My concept is whole electromagnetic!
No comment any more on that here!

P.S. ...I was even improved that Gibson's invention on much higher and precise level, but never have enough money to make realization of perfect construction!
Anyway, that moving pickup concept could be good if mechanics would produce some perfect precise mechanism company, like Rolex or something, and player should have two mechanic reduction knobs, "fast" and "slow" for precise positioning...etc.

Forget the mechanics, I'm talking about controlled electromagnetic "pickup" field! ;) (and that's the last word about that matter you can get here from me!)
