Cannot believe how anyone hasn't talked about these yet. I've been at this year's Musikmesse and this was the biggest surprise imho.

I've searched on the net and found nothing, but took a flyer at Ernie Ball's booth and spoke with some of EBMM stuff, so here's the deal: I've played a FANTASTIC JP6 that had a Pau Ferro fingerboard, Roasted Birdseye maple neck with gunstock oil finish (mindblowing), stainless steel frets, and a Mahogany body.
They should come around june if I'm not mistaken, and this new combination should be available on basically all EBMM models except JP12, JPXI, JPX, Reflex and some others I don't remember. The finish was also super cool.

Anyone tried these at Musikmesse? I want one, NOW.

No, I haven't heard about it until now, I'm drooling all over my keys and new shirt! BP, any news of this for the knuckleheads?

yes, i´ve tried it and liked the feel of the unfinished roasted neck.
i asked the guys about a Y2D, but they told me, that there will no Y2D with this option. :(

here is a picture of the JP6:

That is nice! I like the fact that it's an unfinished neck. This is why I favor my JP6 and Axis over the BFR. It's just personal preference. I'll be interested in these when they become available.

I wonder if there is any chance the reflex or Gamechanger may be available in this, the finish is incredible and I would kill for an unfinished roasted neck on a reflex!

The JP is stunning though, love the forearm curve And the small dots!

Correct me if I am wrong, but I do not believe the African Mahogany that EBMM uses is the same wood as the Mahogany, that Gibson or other manufacturers are using. I was under the impression that it was a less dense lighter weight variety than a lot of hard/tone woods , and that was one of the reasons they had started using it instead of alder or heavy ash.

I already "ordered" a JP7 of this Limited Edition from my local EBMM Premier Dealer.
They'll get one for me as soon as they come out. I can't wait to see and hear that beauty in my hands. The Roasted Neck looked and felt really nice, + it's got the Stainless Steel Frets and the new Bridge on it.

WOW, that is hot!

I don't see anything on the Premier Dealer Network page.

BP, can you give us any more info? Is it all models (especially the Axis or Silhouette), or just the JP? To Erin's question, can you tell us more about the mahogany?

Looks amazing!

Thanks for the insight, Pete. Perhaps there will be a drive from Long Island to CT in my future!

Glad I'm not the only one who liked it at the Messe! There's actually a video on youtube from an italian magazine called Accordo about this new Premier Dealer series.

The mahogany JP6 I've tried was lighter than the regular JP6, had them both on my hands and the limited edition one was just a bit lighter. JP12 and this limited edition were the most amazing guitars I've tried at their booth.

Mmhmm... JP6 Honeyburst /w BFR Roasted Neck. Sooo nice!
Musikmesse 2012 - Music Man Stand - YouTube

What's a Pau Ferro fingerboard?
And what did you mean with this combination will be available on almost all models? Will it be possible to order a JPXI in Honeyburst with the roasted neck? Or did I misunderstand you? XD

Is it possible that a Silo Special will be available in such a combination that I've always wanted? This would be amazing! Alas! So not in a position to buy any guitars for a while. I did recently acquire a second guitar that has a mahogany body and maple neck. I personally think its a great combination. Tight and fat and articulate.

i think the silo spec. will be available in this special run.
i guess that all guitars with body binding will not be part of this special run.
a regular morse is available, a Y2D not, the Reflex not...don´t know about the axis...maybe not as well, because of the binding - but i´m not sure about it.
