I'm typically partial to warm colors, so I only hope that if jump on this opportunity there won't be another PDN down the line with the option of a maple fingerboard on a Bongo in a warmer (red, orange, etc) color. That would sting. :(

It'll either be birdseye or flame but there is no choice, luck of the draw.

sweet new offering. This is what PDNs should be all about.
of course, timing sucks for me, but its a great offering.

Perfect timing for me! I missed out on the Honeybursts and this time I WON'T miss out on the Neptune Blue! Now to go Bongo 6 H or HH?

Its nice... wish it had a matching HS, that would be bad ass. Mahogany on a Sterling is nice BTW. It really gives some girth to the mids, my Ash Sterling is a bit thin there but sometimes that aggression is really sweet. Its funny how much the Mahogany changes things. I like the fact you can cut the low end but still retain warmth through the mids to make is sound closer to the regular Ash Sterling.
