"New products from Ernie Ball" email

Did anyone else get one of these? I don't really know if I should respond or not with all the spam floating around.

I think that the annoucement is that EBMM is going to start making an Aucoustic (Spelling) guitar.

The email specifically says "electric guitar" so I don't see where any connections to an accoustic come from but... here is the email I recieved for you Jon.

This is an elite group of guitar players who we will rely on to direct our efforts. We ask you to give us your honest opinion about new guitar ideas from our R&D group. Our goal is to improve our products and develop new products to better meet your needs.

Every few months, we would email you a very brief online survey. Some surveys would show you a picture or description of new guitars, basses, strings and accessories before they come to market. Others would ask you about your experience with Ernie Ball products. That's all there is to it. No sales pitches; this is honest research.

You would get an advanced look at new stuff before it's in the stores and be able to direct us to offer the kinds of products you want. It will be fun, educational and definitely quick and easy.

Maybe you didn't get it because of your geographical zone. Meaning that maybe they are targeting certain parts of the country to see how they are doing.

You could always just use the link above and fill it out anyway.

Well, it doesn't matter anymore. Removing the link won't make it work again. lol.

I guess I learned my lesson... I just figured someone might need to see the link to know if it was legit or not. With all the ebay scams, paypal scams, citi bank scams, and whatever else there is that uses very authenting looking emails, I wanted to see what people here thought before I took it. I never dreamed someone would click a coded link and take a survey from that code.
