my buddy put the evolution in the bridge of my pet much sooner than It hought he would...I'll give impressions when I've had a chance to play it at practice tonight..
rrhea said:Cool! I LOVE the Evo pickups. I've never heard/played them personally in anything other than my Jem, but it never ceases to put a smile on my face each time I grab that guitar and hit that first power chord.
It's just simply the sound I like... full gain, nice balance between highs and low mids and very defined and articulate despite the loads of gain.
I'll bet it's going to sound awesome in the JP.
BTW, I just downloaded a buttload of Dokken this morning from my Yahoo Music Unlimited subscription. It's in my playlist right now. I had most of this stuff on cassette back in the day. It's cool to hear all that stuff again!

rrhea said:It should sound great! The Jems with Evos are alder bodied guitars, with exception to the new mirror ones which are basswood.
But basswood and alder have very similar tonal characterisitics, so you shouldn't have any problems.

But if they work for you, that's all that matters, man! Good luck!![]()

Well, there's probably more truth to that than I want to admit.

I actually just played my JP6 for the first time this weekend in about 6 months.
P.S. I thought the breeds were in the new rock mirror?
