New Reflex and HH AL Videos

I do have to at that I love the Al over the reflex
only thing I will change is the pickup selector. I don't really like the in between positions where the coils are split. They don't balance well with the output of the buckets on their own

Keep the rosewood neck, mahogany body, axis buckers and throw in a maple top, chamber it and stain it emerald green... When can I call Pete and order one? A nice faded purple or bahama blue like the GC bFR JP would work too!

maple top would be cool and maybe it would add a tad bit of attack and smooth out the highs.

I wouldnt did chambered as that goes in a totally different direction.

Basswood and Alder would be cool though.
Imagine an Albert Lee HH like an Axis. Wonder if a floyd would look cool on it with a basswood body maple cap?

A HH AL with a basswood body, maple top and a maple neck would sound a lot like the Axis... why bother?

The uniqueness of the HH AL is wood combo, for all we know it sounded like crap with a maple top and thats why its not there... I do think that it would be cool to see what the current BFR AL would sound like with 2 Humbuckers. I just don't want to spend the money to get a BFR AL then tear it up...

Well I was talking about having axis woods because ALOT of people out there absolutely LOVE the axis but simply cannot get used to the neck shape being so darn narrow
the Al has a much more widely acceptable neck

of course the best fix would be the Axis with a different neck

Your right, I can't see why ebmm while making prototypes of the Al HH didn't use a maple top. They just of well might have and maybe it didn't sound as good to them as plain mahogany. Maybe it was also a price/marketable issue as well and didn't make that much of a difference.

I just dig the Al's vibe and the neck........that neck is to die for.
You can see even Blues S gives a chuckle and smile after he plays the Al clearly showing that it pumps his nads.
