Actually, should have arrived by the time I get home.

My first Silhouette, and only my second EBMM guitar. First was an Axis, but I then remembered I don't dig Floyd Rose trems :(

I had a Stingray bass which I loved, but then sold because I stopped playing bass in a band I was in and needed money to buy a (gasp) Strat again.

I figure the Silhouette is the best of both worlds of my two favorite guitars, Strat and Les Paul.

Currently have a great Strat (took about 5 of them to find a great one), but I am hoping the Silhouette will be my new go-to guitar.

My only concern is how goofy will I look when I play out with a small-bodied guitar, being 6'4" and in the athletic build category? :p

Strat is a nice size guitar for me, as are hollow-bodies, but I saw a used Silhouette in person, didn't seem too bad really, just different curves that the Strat.

Anyways... thought I'd share my tale with the Ball crowd. I'll snap some pics when it shows up, deal? I know, "this thread is worthless without pics"

Petel, I am 6'4"... OK I am pretty skinny, but I love playing the Silhouettes at gigs. Don't worry about it. Silhouettes are the best.

Wow! It's a brand new guitar! Smelled kinda like paint when I took that plastic off hah!

Everything about this guitar is quality. unplugged it is resonant, which tells me the wood and or construction is excellent. natural harmonics are loud too! Plugged in, she is a beast! Purrs and screams. Singlecoil and hum sounds are dead on! But different too.... A good thing!

Dig that finish too! And you're right, doesnt look too goofy on me. It is measureably smaller than a strat but really not that much.

Back to playing around!

I think I found my new number one.... Heres to hoping the honeymoon lasts! :)

That is a vey nice silhouette!! Love the colour, what is the colour called??
I played a few other guitars but very soon i bought a musicman sub1 and soon after
i bought my BFR Luke and when you have a guitar like that you immediatly
reconize the craftmanship that EBMM stands for..
Ill never buy another brand of guitar again i think.. no.. i know i won't buy another brand
ever again ;) It's a true addiction!!

Thanks for all the compliments! Let my roomate play it through his setup last night, I could see the jealousy in his eyes! He really liked it, he has played the same Strat for about 7 years (candy tangerine USA deluxe, ironically) and said he thought the Ball's neck played much smoother and easier than a strat. "Why can't Fender do that?!" was his question :p

Pickguard.... to each his own! I am diggin the tort

I'm 5 foot 6 and will gladly take it off your hands.

Seriously, I am sure it will be fine - look at Jamie Humphries - looks fine on him.

BTW, I have a great love for the Silo. I hope the Game Changer appears on one in the not too distant future - I'm serious in getting one of these if they hit the streets.
