Yeah dude, and I think the white guard helps your eyes to really see the color, stops you from seeing the outer edge as black... Maybe I'm just nuts

The pup cover on the single coil is actually broken where the screws go through, so it's just kinda held there by the pickguard

There ya go, a perfect excuse to get a new white one! Really, I think it might balance the yin/yang of the guitar.

One of mine also had the middle pup cover ears broken when I bought it used. Easy fix.
