lets start a new thread... i have similar questions since i have my wonderful silhouette special w.piezo (thank you twoonie2!!!!!!!!!!!!) - arrived finally yesterday!

I am afraid I will have to follow it up with another dumbass question. (Maybe, I should start a new thread "Eric's dumbass guitar questions.") What if you are using both jacks simultaneously and have both volume knobs turned on... do you hear one standard and one piezo output?

YEE-HAAAAA!!!! Two weeks earlier than expected, here is my new Silo Special. Pics aren't great, but it's all I could do before I could find some time and some outdoor lighting to do the guitar justice. I'll try to take some better ones this weekend.

This guitar is PERFECT. The setup is to die for, and intonation is perfect. Played through a Carr Rambler and a Mesa Lone Star, it sounds like a bell. It spanks through a Dr. Z MAZ18 and a Naylor EV38, and roars through a 5150 212 combo. This is a do-it-all guitar! If I can't do it with this SS, I don't want to do it

I have an acoustic amp, but the piezo sounds AMAZING through the Rambler and the Lone Star.

The tone is different for sure between a silo special w/maple board vs rosewood board, you just have to have both!

Yup...I suspect the saddles have something to do with the tone there, too. The solid saddle guitar sounds more solid, so, it must be true...that can't just be a coincidence . And another thing, this new one came with 9s on it, I have 10s on my other SS, and this one sounds fatter. Funny how things work though, I thought my older SS was fat for days, but this new one is fatter.

You know its weitrd, my DD Silo special sounds fatter than my trem silo special, both are rosewood. the DD has piezo, hardtail.

Rob, the fatness is probably due to the block piezo saddles?
