i used the JP7 for rhythms and the MD JP6 for solos. no drop tunings, everything is in regular tuning.

what do you mean with "IQ"?

thanx for the IQ link!

@sickindian:
my main recording program (daw) is magix samplitude 10 pro at the moment, not sure if i should upgarde to 11 or not.
i did all the recordings at home, so i didn´t use any real amp (for the first time!). the guitarsound comes from IK amplitube incl. all the effects on the guitartracks. the keys are played on m-audio keystation and for the VSTi i used Independence LE (was in the software package with Sam10).
for the bass parts i had to use a trick, because i don´t own any bassguitar. so i decided to play the parts on my JP7 and pitch the recorded files down for one octave. after that i loaded IKs Ampeq suite for the bass amp.
for the drums i used toontracks Drumkit From Hell (DFH) - an awesome drumkit!

the overall mix was done very quick, i didn´t focus my ears to an perfect mix-sound right now. just recorded the tracks and brought the levels together.

joe i liked this very much you got a great tone out of amplitube... maybe I should check that out... I'm too into line 6, it doesn't hurt trying new stuff

one of the advantages of amplitube is, that you have an ambience poti, which simulates the moving air between the speaker and the mic. it gives you a more realistic sound and feel. i move it up to "3" which is enough.
also i combine two cabs with two different mics - like i use to do it in real.
