Hi,

Just registered onto this forum. Wanted to let you know that i'm now officially a Music Man String Ray 5 owner.

Picked it up last night from my local dealer. Ordered it in November and i received the call to pick it up 2 days ago.

Previously owned a JB-2 G&L. In happenstance, i was at the local music store to pick up a speaker cable and decided to try out a SR-5. Wow! This thing blew me away! I knew then i had to have one!

Mine is white with matching head stock and a white pearloid pick guard.

Going to mate it with a Mesa walkabout scout later today. If things work according to plan i will play it in church tomorrow.

Welcome to our little corner of the universe! We're glad to have you and we hope you enjoy your stay.

That must be a beautiful bass. Post a pic or two when you get a chance. If you don't know how, someone here will be more than happy to tutor you in the process.

*Sorry, I was posting this while you were posting that you didn't have a camera.

I guess i won't play it in church tomorrow! The string spacing has me screwed up! Expected this tho!

Will have to break open the old Fender 4 banger for tomorrow.

Man! This SR-5 sounds good! Just need the seat time with it!!

White with matching headstock looks HOT! First time I saw an SR4 in that combo I suffered some serious GAS. Would look so cool as the negative image of my Stingray, maybe I should consider that as my next colour combo. I wonder if it's any harder to keep them looking clean? If anyone has white with matching headstock SR's/Sterlings, please post more photos!

And WELCOME TO THE FORUM, captainde!

Welcome to the board. Yeah the SR5 string spacing is different. Once you get onto it and the sound that it produces you won't look back.

Enjoy that SR5. I know expect you will be so totally amazed with the aspects the SR5 brings to your playing that you will become as crazy as the rest of us here.

I bet that white totally rocks too.
