I just bought a new Silo 30 that I fell in love with as soon as I tried it in the shop. I love everything about this guitar except that I would like to change the pickups at some stage, especially the bridge HB (probably a SD Pearly Gates which I love)

Now, I'm told that, in position 2, the HB automaically splits to a single coil together with the middle SC. My question is (bearing in mind that I'm a total noob at this kind of thing ) Can I add a switch to split the coil in the hb and also keep this automatic coil splitting feature when in position 2 when the pickup is in humbucker mode? and if so, is it an easy job or would I need to get it done by a pro?

Thanks in advance :)

I don't see why you couldn't add a switch. I can't tell you if it's an easy job or not... depends upon how confident you are with your tinkering skills. Put it this way, if it was a Silhouette I would take it to a pro, for a Silo30 I would probably try it myself.

Nice to see a Vonnegut fan by the way. Welcome to the group.

Thanks guys :)

I've found someone to do the job for me as I didnt feel confident enough to have a go myself.
