I recently traded in a Warwick Corvette on a new natural finish Sterling. All I can say is WOW! It was a big leap of faith for me to part with my Corvette. Warwicks are very nice. But the Sterling is perfect for me.

I was attracted to the design of the top of the pickup, thinking that anchoring my thumb between the two adjustment screws would keep my thumb in place. I have carpal tunnel, so my thumb can drift of of a normal pickup without my knowledge. But I found playing that close to the bridge to be challenging. So I was forced to go to a floating thumb. It feels so natural and easy.

Everything about the Sterling is top-notch. My has a body with more figure to it than some. The neck feels perfect. The tuning pegs are really smooth yet tight. I also like the control know layout. One knob per function--I don't like stacked controls. This bass is so playable and it has a very wide range of sounds. I play it through a small GK amp.

Congrats and welcome. Please give us more details. No wait, in fact, please give us a picture. I would be so bold as to gently tell you that no one will believe that you really have the Sterling until you post a picture.

Here's My Baby!

This is the configuration that I have. The wood has more swirl than the picture on the MM Web Site.

I couldn't afford to swing the hardshell case, so GC knocked $100 off of the price and I kept my Warwick gig bag. That's okay since it's a nice bag and I don't go anywhere with my bass that requires a hard shell. I will cough up the $100 at a later date and buy the official case.

Congrats on your purchase! I love Sterlings and you'll be really happy with that baby.

Hope we can see a pic of it in the flesh soon! :)

It came with a case but I was about $100 short. So, GC reduced the price by $100 if they kept the case. That was fine with me. I find the hard shell cases kind of bulky around the house. Now if I traveled with the bass I would really want one. GC did me right.
