New Sterling

Hey guys. I'm new to the forum (and glad to be here with y'all) and just wanted to post a note to show my new MM Sterling. It's the classic (but sexy ), black, maple, black.
Bought it 2nd hand in Japan for 100,000 yen (about a $1000). 2003 model. It's in great condition but the photo isn't so great.
It's the most amazing bass I've ever played! The neck, the sound, the feel...it's got it all.

Have been contemplating a change of pickguard one day.
Any suggestions?

Hard to go wrong with black/maple.

Tort looks great on black, but have you seen some of the fancy new pickguards being offered up this year?
