In honor of our return to the studio this coming weekend, I finished editing the video of our last trip. The studio is Bell Labs Recording in Norman Oklahoma. It is owned by Trent Bell, former guitarist of The Chainsaw Kittens. The Flaming Lips are a regular clients there, and their stuff is lying around everywhere. Very cool vibe, and very affordable.

Guitars are a JPX7 and JP6 BFR for me, and a JP7 and Luke for Jacob. All of the Rhythms are a Mesa Roadster. Jacob did an overdub ditty on his Mark III, and all my leads were my Mesa DC3. For the most part, everything is dry. The whammy bits and the wah solo on "Fade Away" are the only exceptions that I can remember.

We're leaving Friday for Bell Labs again to record a song we've been asked to record for a very famous charity's to be announced album. We should be able to make an official announcement on that in a few weeks. Anywho... without further adieu....

The tune is sounding pretty good. I'm looking forward to hearing the final mix.
Gotta love the sound of JPs and Mesas.

I just listened to all of the tunes at reverbnation. You guys kick ass and can consider me a new fan. When is Roadrunner going to sign you? Great energy and there's a swagger to the guitars. Plus I love female vocals with heavier music.
I hope you sell lots of music.
