Hello! I'm a loooong time guitar player and I've had plenty of cool tools, (still have a bunch) but never really gave EB a shot. Well, that changed recently when I got the jones for a locking trem, bare bones, rock machine. I looked over the EVH, Peavey, EB, and assorted import offerings. I 'almost bought a Japan EVH, before I stumbled across a Hot Rod Red Axis brand new, at a Guitar Center for a few hun'red more $. No contest. I took it home, gave it a fresh set of strings and adjustments, and it's headed to rehearsal tonight. I'll shoot a photo or two and post them when I can. She's a beaut. It's been a long time since I owned a locking trem guitar. Previously, I had a custom Hamer that was built for Scotti Hill from Skid Row, and I also had a Hamer Californian and their Steve Stevens model. I should have kept the SS & the Scotti Hill Custom, but.... all gone. I think the Axis is gonna kill!
Cool looking forum. I think I'll stick around. BTW, the Axis had the covered, chrome pickups, matching headstock, and the cool G&G, poodle interior case. Built in 10/09, I don't know how it languished so long, unsold. Now that HAMERusa is 'no more' perhaps EB will fill that space for me (?)
