Hey guys, new to the Forum. Love the Serial Number Database. Anyway, back in March bought my first EBMM guitar. I got a 2013 John Petrucci JP7 in Mystic Dream on clearance at GC. Smoking good deal and in great shape, just sat for a long time. Tone and feel is great, although I personally think the Crunch Lab pickup runs a little bit muddy and hard to tame with certain amp sounds. So I swapped it for now to a Dimarzio Ionizer. I love the Liquifire though.
Loved the quality so much I started selling off my collection, of mostly decent but a bunch of sub 1k stuff with upgraded electronics. I then traded for a 13' JPXI 7 String in good condition from the original owner. Again, not a huge fan of the Crunch Lab, so that got swapped to a Dimarzio Titan 7 which sounds and plays very good. Love the painted neck.
Then a few weeks ago, was eyeing the Steve Morse Y2D hardtail the same GC had on a really good clearance deal I later found out was a 2012 with a DOB of my birthday! The only change I made to that was rewiring the neck pickup, which I found a bit too dark, to parallel wiring. Ended up trading and selling my drum kit to get it which was a great trade.
Next I plan on getting either a Valentine or Albert Lee, depending on what I can get a deal on. I feel like EBMM destroys everything production made on attention to detail and setups. Quality from the factory I have yet to see at a much better level. Anyway, thanks fam.
