I've been playing guitar for 10 years now and I've got a Jackson DXMG, Jackson KE3 and a Schecter Damien 7.

The EBMM JP has been my dream guitar for 8 years now (ever since I got into Dream Theater). I found a used 2009 model (I think), for a decent price. It's a bare bone version, which I wasn't so sure about, but it doesn't affect playability and tone so what the heck, I decided to go for it. It's also been signed by Petrucci himself.

I was actually debating whether to get a Sterling by Music Man or just suck it up and pay more for a used JP6 instead.

I'm going to be receiving it in maybe 3 days' time. For the mean time, here are some photos from the dealer. The Mystic Dream finish looks absolutely stunning in these photos.

Congrats and welcome to the forum! My 2 JPs are decked out but to be honest I never use the piezo. All the other cosmetic touches aren't a big deal either (to me). The essentials are all in the version that you're getting and it looks like a keeper.

Finally received the guitar! I didn't know a bolt on guitar could have such incredible access to the high frets! The neck is incredibly smooth too. Also a bonus: My Scale the Summit tab book and tap guide book arrived too!
