I came across an obscure Craigslist add the other day. A guy had listed a bunch of bass gear for trade only. He listed amps and cabs and then stated he had a left handed bass. He posted a photo of a right handed Blue Dawn Sterling but stated that the bass was a lefty Stingray LE from 2007. I realized that this may be the very same bass that had hung on the wall at a small EBMM dealer in my area about 5 years ago. I had gone in many times and played this bass and lusted after it intensely!

I love Blue Dawn and knew this may be the last time I ever come across a lefty. So I offered up a non EBMM guitar as a trade and it worked out perfectly. The bass was pretty dirty but no damage or scratches to speak of. Took me a few days of work to get most of the grime off the fingerboard but it was totally worth it. After a bit of 0000 grit steel wool and a few coats of True Oil, I had her all back together and could not be happier!

I added the vintage cream pick guard that I had ordered from the factory earlier this year. I liked how the original black guard looked but cant resist this combo. What a color to see in person! And despite the maple boards needing a tad more maintenance, they are so fun to play on!

Your pictures are mirrored...
But you got a great taste of colours :)
And again I think about a 3 Band Ray... :/

No mirroring going on here, them there are some genuine left handed backwards Balls! :)

I hear the sparkle colors were a pain to produce but they sure are neat to see in person.

that is correct. sparkle, metal flake, etc are definitely more involved than straight up metallic or candy colors. More steps, and a higher failure rate.

That's extremely nice - I have an HH blue dawn - I'm impressed with the vintage pearloid white - I may get one for mine.

Last time I looked Bass Central had a lefty blue dawn SR5 NOS!
