Hey everyone.
This is my first thread on this forum

I just bought a EVH EBMM on ebay, and im just waiting for it to get here
After playing a wolfgang for 5 years now, ive finally had the cash to buy the eddie guitar i should have bought in the first place.

Dont get me wrong, the wolfgang is an excellent instrument, but im glad that now im able to step up to an EBMM, as it will replace my wolfie as my main guitar.

This is gonna be a very long week while im waiting for my EVH

I own both and I wouldn't be so quick to disregard either of them. Each has strengths that the other doesn't have. You might enjoy owning both and exploiting each for those strengths.

Congratulations!

Congrats on the EVH... (someday I'll have one too... yes, I will... :D ) I have a Wolfie and an Axis, and as much as I like the Wolfgang, it doesn't get as much play time as the Axis by a long shot - nice to have a good backup tho! :) I'm thinking of putting a D-Tuna on my Axis too - it works so well on the Wolf, and I'm tired of changing guitars for drop-D tunes (both of 'em :p )

Yeah, no kidding...it's not a bad price, either. If I could put some cash together, it'd be mine.

I'm glad to see that I'm not the only one who eBay's and dreams...for a while there, I thought I was just crazy. ;-)

My dream (and plan of pure overkill) would be to have one of every production color...I have a red and purple, that would be a nice addition. Then 5 more to go (amber, turquoise, pink*, sunburst, and black); I could worry about the rares, i.e. green, pure black, etc. later (after I win the lottery!) ;-)

That reminds me, what is the deal with the black ones? Those are ULTRA rare, right? I remember one guy that was selling one on ebay a few summers back and claimed that that particular one was 1 of 12 (something was different about it I remember). I saved the pics on my laptop and I'll dig them out tommorow.

If you're talking about the black in the paint form like most are (translucent), I believe that there were plenty of those made to not be considered rarity.

The one that I think you're thinking of, I've attached to the post, which is an opaque black (solid, can't see the details of the wood). Those are rare; if you and I are also talking about the same person, he was selling the one in question, as well as a trans green, both mint, for $12,000.

This is why I need to win the lottery. The ol' lady would have a new rearview decoration (you get my drift!) if I dropped $12k on guitars right now, or EVER, unless we had quite a bit of money in the bank...like 6 figures or more. ;-)

But, as the mighty VH sang, "...you are the little dreamer..."

Good thing you got it... I have been lusting after this Luke guitar at the guitar center here in eugene, and it finally sold. Not to me. Oh well, I still have my precious Sil.
