Hi everybody!

I´m new to the forum, I started reading many posts and seems like a great place. I´m about to get a JP7 fully loaded (the only seven string with piezos and tremolo in the market hahaha) and when I started browsing thru the posts I noticed people taking about a new version of the guitar probably a Neck-thru, which I love, also I read about a new bridge pick up that I do´nt see in many models currently on sale on the net. Can you help me please and tell me what are the plans for the guitar???? I would definetly wait for a Neck thru hahaha.

Thanks a lot for your help!!!:)

The new model hasn't been offically announced yet. JP got a prototype. It hasn't been said when it will be made nor if it will ever be made. Also all the JPs are now shipping from SLO with the D-Sonic. The D-Sonic was a minor update to the guitar.

And Welcom to the forum:D

The neck thru was scrapped. Several of us held a prototype body at the Open House...but, as of now, it is not gonna happen.

What has happened is the 20th Anniv Silo. JP and others have played the 20th Anniv. Silo and wanted one built to their artist guitar spec. JP got one that a pic was posted and it is awesome.

He has switched pick ups to the D-Sonic. That is why you haven't seen very many...happened a short while ago.

Well, there's ALWAYS plenty of Big Poppa teasing...
but no concrete guarantee of a new Petrucci model in the immediate future.

MusicMan did make two special Petrucci guitars for JP himself, which had figured maple tops, caramel burst color, and different pickups all borrowed from the 20th anniversary Silhouette.

While many of us are crossing our fingers and hoping that this may turn up as a limited edition model for 2007, there have been no assurances. Mostly just speculation on the part of forumites.
