Meedley, I'm just curious... if you play a fair amount of jazz, why you would choose a maple board over rosewood?
Well, I wont be using this for much of my jazz playing. I need something to cover my strat-needs live and in the studio. Normally I do prefer ebony or rosewood boards, but I love the look of maple and as long as I'm going for the strat vibe that's what I'm gonna go with. I've always preferred maple boarded fenders anyway. I'll be getting a jazz box at some point too......but for the time being I've got my eyes on a Carvin H2 that'll keep me well covered (I hope the EB Police don't come after for saying that on these boards!).
I know there's no such thing as a guitar that'll cover ALL my needs but the silhouette seems like it'll cover a good chunk of it. And besides, even if there was ONE guitar that could do it all.........why stop at one?
