I bought a '99 StingRay5 from a local bass player last week. Honeyburst with a rosewood fingerboard and white plastic parts, rather a different look from my other basses, but very rich looking. I have ordered a set of TI Jazz Flats for it, and it will see its first gig next month.

I've wanted one for years, but until now I never found one locally for sale. It doesn't hurt that the price was under a $1K!:D I'll post a photo once I take a decent pic.

There is one small issue: I had to sell my Toyota Matrix because I can no longer drive a manual transmission, and I replaced it with Mustang convertible. The SR case will fit on the passenger side in front, but won't fit in the back. I had the same problem with another bass, and found a gig bag from its manufacturer that fit perfectly.

Understand that I am a hardshell case person -- my instruments live in their cases when they are not being played -- but things would be must easier for me if I had a gig bag.

Any suggestions?

I use a cheapie by Guitar Research, my bongo fits in it as well.

I have a mustang GT.
The SR hardshell case will fit in the back if you lay it in at an angle across the seats.
Not the best but it works.

I've done that with another brand, and in fact I took a hard shell case with me to make sure it fit when I tried out the car. But it leaves no space for the amp.

Either the Mono Bad, Either one of them.. Or the Reunion Blues Continental. I am comfortable saying the Reunion Blues Bag will take more punishment, and provide more protections than 90% of hard cases out there. It is just a little heavy. The Mono, is great too, just a little lighter weight. And i wouldn't run it over with a truck.

Anyone know of a gigbag that will hold my bongo and has a pocket big enough to hold my little mark head.

The Mono is good (I have one) but the pocket space is rather small. The Reunion Blues Continental, as mentioned, might be a better choice for you since you like a hard case. Look it up on the tube and watch the videos of the guy throwing it off the roof of a building.
