With all this talk about the weather messing with our Balls.....I thought I would share with you guys that I had to send my new guitar back because it was fretting out and had sharp edges.....It arrived in California yesterday......I felt like a Daddy who watched his daughter leave for college....This is my first new Axis Guitar that I ordered to arrive this way.....It came from a N.Y. Guitar Center....

I am confident in EBMM.....I am sure she will be fine when she returns.....in a few weeks......The wait is the hardest part!!!!!

My Reflex appeared to have the same problem last winter, sharp fret edges along the neck. Feared a big problem, but bought a humidifier and it did wonders! Seems the air was just too dry for the neck, haven't had the problem since.

Case humdifier on the cheap:

One damp sponge, one plastic sandwhich bag make lots of slits with a scissor. Insert sponge into bag, bag into case. Moisten every few weeks. Will help a lot with fret sprouting.

I had this problem years ago, but all my balls are 10 years or so old. I has the fret ends dressed on them years ago and never been a problem since.
