Greetings,
I have decided to purchase an axis to replace the EVH I sold years ago. I noticed that Music Man is using a different tremolo. It looks smaller, maybe even smaller saddles and for sure a new arm. I see it is the same ol' cheap threaded arm like on a strat. Maybe cheap is the wrong word but it sorta feels less than perfect.

Does everyone like this? Is it working well/holding up? Will a real Floyd or Gotoh fit as a replacement?

Any helpful input/info would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,

Thanks,

Are you sure it is a factory tremolo? The trems on the Axis up until ~2012 were nearly identical to the EVH (saddles were a little different). The newer tremolos 2012+ are different but are actually really good. The trem arm simply pops in and out and is not threaded.

Then this was not factory, thanks for mentioning the pop in.
