Thanks guys...made it through Day 1. It was nice waking up this morning without having to run to my computer, back track & edit/delete my posts from last night for a change I must say. :)

My New Year resolution was not to make one; however, I will pray for Dude to receive deliverance from firewater.

Thanks...well it's "Beer Thirty" on Day #2 and I'm sucking on a can of Ensure FWIW....I won't be able to hold down solids for a few more days...these detoxes get harder and harder as I get older and it's been over 3 years since I attempted to clean out and been running pretty hard at it daily for over a year solid now.

<---Just now finally coming back off the "Poophead Tour 05'"

ps: Anyone keep track of how many times I got engaged in '05???

-Getting in better shape (I know, a classical one)
-Finding a nice girlfriend (I'm fed up with being alone :p )
-Finding a great band to join
-Do lots of archaeological excavations (always fun :D )

That's about it.

I'm resolving to get a really nice rig this year. Maybe a 1001RB-II with some Neos...seems to be an excellent setup.

Hang in there, Steve! We're behind you 100%.

Keep that up, Steve. With every picture I see of you...you're too damn skinny!

A good resolution you made, too, Steve. My best to you in keeping up with it.

Strummer - Way to go!! You are the Man!!!

Dude - I am so impressed. My New Year's resolution is to buy a new bass - from you (well, maybe Jack but only if he stops running around in his underware).

Psycho - you need help! Got any pictures???

I wish each and every one of you the best in 2006.

Ya man...down to 125 and sick...pulling out of a nose dive and and clipping treetops with my wheels I think...'05 was one heck of ride but time to get off now in '06.

Another day so I stop throwing up in my mouth a little and I start eating everything in sight...goal is to pack on 10lbs before NAMM in two weeks.

Ah yes, that '80s 'bad habit'...weekend recreation for me that (luckily) grew old with time, and I just stopped doing it.

Recreation?? What's that? But as they say, if you could change one thing in your life what would it be? The 80's mischef. We lost a great shot at being signed over that crap...were doing a showcase and everything fell through when our lead singer came in all ****ed up from that stuff. Don't call us, we'll call you.:(

The funny thing is, the people that told you that were *probably* also doing the same exact thing; it was a common thread in the music industry.

That's why I had to LMAO about Kate Moss getting sh*t for doing the same thing from her employers, who for years looked the other way when she was at the top of her game in modeling.

To those quitting addictions, something that saw me thru such a period:

Use the time that used to be wasted by the addiction. Estimate the amount of time and apply it toward s specific goal that , once accomplished, you'd hate to give up [so it has to be a goal that requires maintenance, like being practiced at sight reading]. Then you always have to consider losing your new valuable asset every time you are faced with the chance for backsliding.

My New Year's Reso:

I resolve that whenever Ms. Diva puts her boyfriend, who can't play drums, on the drum, I'm going to play guitar, which I do not know how to play, instead of bass.

If anyone can give me a few hints to *prevent* my learning guitar from just dicking around on it, it's important that I don't begin to sound decent on it. I tried turning all the peg keys so they were all parallel and looked neat, but that was too awful for the purpose so I went back to normal tuning.

I gave up alcohol last year and I'm feeling a whole lot better for it. I was never a guy who drank a stupid amount, but I'd rarely manage to let a day go by without drinking something.

My resolution is to learn to play the basses I have and to read/listen/watch all the books/CDs/DVDs I've bought over the last year before buying anything new.
