I do believe that we are all, technically, homos.

Unless there is still that group of squirrel monkeys who were posting stuff last year.

actually, it was just something to stall, I take my pics with my camera phone and send it to my email addy, then post em on my band's website, and I was running short on time... however, here's a pic. In the background is my OLP that got creamed in Katrina.

As for where i was... I was in that room through the whole thing... it was LOUD! a 250 year old oak tree fell down in my back yard and creamed the house next door.... I lucked out with no damage.

Unfortunately, the place where my band practiced got totally flooded, and I lost that bass as well as my new Peavy 410 cab... luckily, our mixer, and a couple amps made it as they were high enough.

I stayed for about a week after, then evaced to New Jersey and stayed with my folks for about 1 1/2 months.

Now, I am back home and working back at my old club on bourbon st. crap, i gotta start getting ready for that. Take care guys, be seeing ya.

Glad you made it through okay, man.

I'm from the Biloxi/Ocean Springs area, so my family is still dealing with lots of interesting things, but they're all safe and have houses, so it's not so bad.

(Considering the tent cities.)

Nice bass! Welcome to the forum!

yes, I stayed for a week or so afterwards. As I said before, i got off lucky with no damage to my residence <i live uptown near the river>

It is actually an interesting story, after the storm, naturally we didn't have power, so the girl that was staying with me and I decided to go to the 9th ward to see if her friend <and her boyfriend and her 3 children> were ok, so we walked about 14 miles to get them, about 3 of those were through knee high icky water. We pick them up and get up to the quarter area right about when the levee at industrial canal gave way. Long story short <too late> they all stayed with me in my <small> apartment until we all decided that it was time to go. We had plenty of supplies, a pool next door to bathe in, and a portapotty 1/2 block away, so it wasnt that bad.

How did Denham Springs fare? I used to take deliveries out there a few years ago.

Wow! What a story! Denham Springs did just fine. We got a little rain & a lot of wind. We lost power for about 3 minutes. For some reason, a good portion of the rest of the city was without power for about 2 or 3 days. We had some relatives & friends from Baton Rouge come over to use our shower & air conditioner. :D
