Hi

New Petrucci owner here. Well new to me anyway. Bought off Ebay
a couple weeks ago. Knew I had something special the minute I picked it up.
Body just melts into ya. The trem is great. The neck is joy to play on and look at!
Makes me wonder why I waited so long to buy one of these

Now for the question. It doesn't have the original pickups. Air Norton Neck
Tone Zone Bridge instead. This is ok since I paid a good price and knew I
would like those pickups. Still can't help but wonder what to expect out
of the Petrucci pickups. I'm really thinking of getting another with the
piezo option and stock pickups . Any thoughts?

Sorry for the long winded first post:D

Well....you could be in luck. On one of my Pets, I changed out the pups and I still have the originals. If you want them, PM or e-mail me. If not, no big deal. You have a nice set of pups in there as it is, but the stock ones are just as great.

Got the Petrucci pu's from Mr. koogie yesterday. Swapped em out and
the verdict is I do like the stock better. Seem to have a bit more high end
and overall definition ( to bring out all the flaws in my playing:p ). Not quite
as hot but more punchy and modern.

Not surprising really since all the little custom aspects of this guitar seem to work so well together.

And once again I must give koogie2k a big Gracias!

Cool man...glad you like 'em....and you are more than welcome...I would rather see them put to use than sit around collecting dust that is for sure....glad they found a home.

I really like the TZ/AN combo.

I would be really interested to see what those sound like in a Petrucci.

Aha! the Lords of Kharma have spoken.

"Doeth on to another as hath been done on to you!"

(Snaps out of it)

I will gladly pass along the pair to u. They are great pu's but I have no need for them now.

PM sent to ya

That's why I love this forum. Everybody looks out for each other. Koogie does a solid for a member, then BCK turns around and does a solid for another member.

It almost brings a tear to my eye.....................almost.:D
