Picked up what I think is a sweet Luke III yesterday for basically $900. Sunburst with Rosewood neck.

My first EB/MM...I did try out a JP a few years ago but couldn't get on with the neck at the time so I returned it...I had been playing a couple Les Pauls and some PRS models then, but for the last year or so I have been more actively playing some Ibanez Prestige models and after a spell with those necks I guess I was more tolerant of the Luke neck. Kind of like when I jumped from an iPhone 5 to the the 6Plus I returned it thinking it was way too big - after a year with the regular 6 I went to the 6Plus S and it seemed fine!

I'm really digging the Luke and especially the rosewood neck. My band is in the process of recording an ep and I look forward to doing some tracking with the Luke in the studio soon...getting some super tones out of her.

Thinking of maybe adding a Morse model next - not the Y2D but the original one because I'm interested in the sounds it can get but I've never played one - what are the necks on those like compared to the Luke? Those seem a bit harder to track down than the Y2D models and even those aren't seen around my area much. JP's everywhere and some Luke's but rarely a Morse model.

I put those "amp style" knobs on - I like numbers on my knobs and for now, those were the only set-screw knobs I had. I sorta dig the look but I'll probably keep my eye out for other options as well.

I though I got a pretty good deal. MM hardshell case with it and all the tags & trem arm inside.

That's an absolute beauty. IMO those knobs look killer and really suit the guitar. Like you I like (need) numbers, so I always swap out

That is stunning.
Out of interest, how close is the L3 body shape to a silhouette? In that colour it looks identical to my silo

Congrats!

Other than the feel, what impressed me the most about my LIII is how versatile it is. In a cover band I go anywhere from country to funk to rock to metal. The Luke sounds equally at home in all the settings.

I went from switching guitars constantly to hardly putting it down!
