I figured I'd just start a new thread. I got the JP6 in 2 days - from Kansas!!

My picture taking skills aren't real good, but I snapped a few inside the house.

I'll get some more outside in good light soon.

Like I said in the other thread, it was a "blem" but I can't find a single ding or any sign it has been played.

Only thing is a light scratch in the end of the nut. Not enough to call it a flaw, probably just a tooling mark when finishing the neck.

But that's all I could find. Anyways here's pics

Detailed review soon. A soon as I figure out all the options with the piezo;)

I did plug her in for a a bit. Sounds great! What has impressed me so far is the tuning stability even with EVH type of diving. 2nd fret dive/harmonics are a breeze too.

Oh, and BTW: Thank you EBMM guitars. This appears to be the finest guitar I've had the pleasure to pick up.

Thanks,
I'm very happy with it, more so than my typical "new guitar" excitement:D

Now, anybody want to buy a Strat?

(just kidding)

Thanks,
First review:
The thing plays like butta. I can do things with it that before I would have problems stumbling in parts on playing licks and runs. Not now. I can't describe it, but the guitar actually does make me a bit better of a player - in places:D

Crunch Lab is going to take some getting used to. I'm used to PV pickups which are darker, with less high and more mids. Kinda the opposite of the Crunch Lab.

I love the Strat tone in position 2 of the HB switch. Also love the neck pup. I think the tone of the neck pup is, in part, to do with the placement of it. It's a 24 fret guitar and has the pin wheel adjuster so the pup is actually back a bit further than on the 2 HB guitars I have. It has a more midrange tone which I find really cool sounding. I think that also makes the middle switch spot (S-S) not sound muddy like on other guitars I've had with this setup.

The Piezo is totally cool. It sounds better than my Taylor acoustic. I love the different ways you can blend it or send it to an entirely different amp, which I plan to do soon.

The trem is rock solid. One thing I noticed is that even with bending you don't have the string flattening like you do on say a Strat. I have 3 Deluxes and all of them have 2 point trems. 1 even has the LSR Roller nut, and it goes flat when I bend (even with locking tuners). This is something I've just learned to live with. A quick flick of the trem arm always pops it back in tune. But on the JP I don't have to do this, because it stays in tune. I don't know how they accomplished this, but I'm glad they did.

Everything about the guitar is top-notch and heavy- duty. Schaller tuners, pearloid buttons, heavy-duty trem, I even noticed that the headstock is thicker than any other guitar I've ever had. Birdseye maple in the neck looks pretty sweet. The neck shape is really comfortable too. I normally don't like a shallow and wide neck, like Ibbys have. This one is not so shallow or wide I think.

I could go on, but you guys already know all this stuff- lol.

The case is a monster too. Deep and thick, with the cutout so you can leave the trem arm in. It's thick to so it doesn't fall over like most molded cases do (um....PV....cough...)

That's about it for now - I'm still discovering new things I like about it:D

Congrats! NGDs rule and that looks like 1 sweet axe.

Thanks,

I was just saying the exact same thing to a guy yesterday when talking about my new Axis. I'm actually a better guitar player when I'm using it.

Congrats again.

Upon closer inspection the scratch on the nut is actually where....you know how the finish of the headstock includes the end of the nut? Well, the finish is chipped off at the top little corner of the nut. The nut is unaffected and I really don't care:D B/C I got a $2300 guitar for $1800 because of that little chip.

Flawless everywhere else though.

I do have one question. The trem is awesome, but the little clip in the bottom of the trem bar hole pings when I use the trem in an up and down manor, you know, when you just waver the bar for minor vibrato.

Is this adjustable? Or is it just "The way they are":)
