Hello to all!

So, I'm the proud owner of a brand spankin' new EBMM Stingray Classic 5 that I bought at COST (Yeah, you heard it right - be jealous). :) I got the natural finish with the HOT flamed maple neck. Now that I'm in the "club", I figured I would join the forum. I'll admit, I've got a taste for classy/natural looking instruments but sometimes I get a wild hair to add a little flash. I think the flashiest PG I have is on my American Fat Strat Deluxe with the white pearloid. While I love the look of the bass, I can't help but think I want to throw a little jazz on it with a new PG. I was on pickguardheaven.com and was looking through their materials. I found a couple that looked good to me: One was the "Tiramisu" and the other was the "Brown Tortoise Shell". I guess clear would be another option, but not what I'm going for. Anyway, what is the verdict of the people?

Thanks and happy to be here! Here is the new addition and a picture of the Tiramisu PG. Thoughts??

Welcome to the forum! Beatiful bass!

I can't think of anything that works better than a black pickguard with a natural/maple Stingray.

Tort always works, too. Or, you could go with a vintage pearl.

The black on natural is a classic Stingray combination. I have a tiramisu pickguard on my Tangerine Bongo and it looks cool. With the natural, you can do just about anything. Get a clear one and put a picture behind it, get a leopard print one (I actually like that), etc. You can do anything you want to make it stand out more than it already does.

Thanks a lot guys, I appreciate the input. As is my normal MO, I went ahead and ordered BOTH the Tortoise and Tiramisu :) I figured that I got the Stingray at cost, so what the heck. I'll post pics with both PG's when they eventually come in. I looked all over Google and never found a natural instrument with a Tiramisu PG on it, so maybe I'll be the first. Maybe I just suck at searching. Either way, I'm excited and this thing plays amazing with sweet/monster tone for days. I find myself babying this Axe more than any of my others (i.e. wash hands twice before handling, wear so high that it clears my belt buckle so that I have T-Rex wrist, tuck it in at night and tell it it's pretty/my favorite, etc.) ;)
