You should see the quilted/birdseye maple chopping board that my girlfriend gave me as a present. It makes most guitar necks look pretty dull! It's so gorgeous, I don't want to take a knife anywhere near it, but my sandwiches look great on it!

Andy,

Congrats. The Luke 1 reissue is a major winner in my humble opinion. Mine has bumped all of my other guitars to 2nd tier status.

Cheers,

Tom

Hey Tom, I always wanted one... Never thought this day would come. I saw the ad 4 hours ago and my order is due on the 10.01. Even my wife said, "Just order one in pearl red; you've always wanted one of those!" She is right! It was the ONE guitar I always dreamed I'd never get so I wasn't going to pass this opportunity up! Anyway.

Great stuff! Glad to hear you enjoy yours so much! :) EDIT: OH WOW! That's your sledge? Whoa!!!! Amazing instrument! Can you post more pics - it's such an awesome instrument! I always loved the red in pics but I have never seen one in real life! Have all the literature though...

Cheers and warmest regards to all EBMM family

Andy,

Sounds like your wife and mine are similar. She basically told me the same thing under very similar circumstances. I had to sell mine years ago and could not find a replacement and/or one that was available when I had funds available.

Seems we found awesome women that appreciate our passion. I don't have any better pics atm other than those in the "Luke ONE" thread.

I also love the candy red color as well. Congrats again! I think you are going to love your new guitar.

Cheers,

Tom

I am so glad that you found your perfect axe!

My Wife is just the same and equally awesome! I have been GAS-ing over a new EBMM and despite the fact we are a little stretched at the moment, she worked out how much we could afford to save every month so I could get one.

That said, if my impossible ultimate guitar ever came up (Hardtail Axis in Green) I know she would encourage me to somehow buy it straight away!
